God is With Us

Stories from the book of Daniel

 

Fear not, for I have redeemed you;

    I have called you by name, you are mine.

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;

    and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you;

when you walk through fire you shall not be burned,

    and the flame shall not consume you.

For I am the Lord your God,

    the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.

Past VBS

2026 - The Greatest Treasure

Jesus used parables to teach about the kingdom of God. Some parables give us a glimpse into the kingdom of God and help us to understand Him. Some parables call us to repentance and invite us to enter in and join God’s kingdom. Other parables show us the condition of our heart and point out how we need to change. Through the parables kids learned what it means to have eyes to see and ears to hear the good news! 

Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth where moth and rust destroy and where thieves brake in and steal. Lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven… where your treasure is there your heart will be also. - Matthew 6:19-21

2025 - God is Powerful!

We spent the week looking at different stories of water in Scripture to see how God displays His power over all of creation! Because He is all-powerful, we can trust him to Give us peace and comfort, to save us, and to provide for us. We ended the week with a family meal and carnival celebration.

O Lord God, it is you who made the heavens and the earth by your great power and your outstretched arm! Nothing is too hard for you.

2024 - The King is Coming!

The Old Testament looks forward to a Savior who will come to fulfill God's promises and make a way for God's people to enter His kingdom. The New Testament reveals that Jesus is the fulfillment of those promises and that one day He will return to make all things new. We spent the week learning why this is the best news and finished the week with a royal feast to celebrate the return of the King.
