Youth Ministry

"For from the rising of the sun even to its setting, My name will be great among the nations, and in every place incense is going to be offered to My name, and a grain offering that is pure; for My name will be great among the nations," says the LORD of hosts. (Malachi 1:11)

The overarching reason we do youth ministry is to glorify and enjoy the living God.

Center Grove's Junior High (grades 7-8) and Senior High (grades 9-12) Youth Groups are led by our Youth Minister who is an ordained pastor and a graduate of Covenant Theological Seminary. He is assisted by adult members of the Youth Ministry team.

At Center Grove we CONNECT, NURTURE, and EQUIP Junior and Senior High youth.

CONNECT . . . . youth to the body of Christ through encouraging participation in a Christ-centered church, Sunday School, and the life of the youth ministry.

Growing Together — Community

NURTURE . . . . youth in their relationship with Christ through Bible study and on-on-one and small group discipleship.

Growing Inwardly — Personal Life with God

EQUIP . . . . youth to serve in the name of Christ by providing mercy ministry opportunities, helping them discover their God-given gifts, and encouraging them to use their gifts to grow the body of Christ both spiritually and numerically.

Ministries Offered

1. Fellowship and Outreach

This ministry is designed to grow God's Kingdom numerically and spiritually through: 1) providing a good environment for both Christian fellowship and outreach to non-Christian peers, 2) playing team activities/games/sports, and 3) Christ-centered preaching and teaching that is applied directly to today's teens.

2. Discipleship Group (D-Group)

This ministry is designed to grown Christian teens in their love, knowledge, and understanding of the Lord Jesus Christ through worship in song and Bible study. D-Group provides the proper forum for teens to wrestle with and ask the tough questions they are dealing with in this stage of their lives.

3. Community Work Day

This ministry exists to serve the people of our church and community. The Junior and Senior High students are encouraged to join the body of Center Grove as we seek to share the love of Christ through deeds of mercy to those in need.

Meeting Times

Senior High Youth Group (grades 9-12):

Fellowship and Outreach: Thursdays, 7:30-9:00 p.m.
Discipleship Group (D-Group): 7:00-8:30 p.m.—1st and 3rd Sunday of each month.
(Meets at various church member's homes)
Community Work Day: 2nd Saturday of each month, 8:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.

Junior High Youth Group (grades 7-8):

Fellowship and Outreach: First and Third Fridays, 7:00-9:00 p.m.
Discipleship Group (D-Group): 6:30-8:00 p.m.—2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month.
Community Work Day: 2nd Saturday of each month, 8:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.
