Backstage with the Bible from GO FISH.

Vacation Bible School (VBS) is a fun and educational summer program that ministers to children and youth of the church and the community. Center Grove VBS programs are rooted in biblical truths that transform the lives of children. Center Grove’s VBS is a Christ-centered ministry both for the covenant children of the church and for children in the local community. Contact the church or click here if you would like to register your children for VBS in June 2010!

Nursery scene

Nursery

Our nursery is available during the worship service, Sunday School, and for other church activities. The nursery facilities are intended for children up to age four. During Sunday School there is also a class for Toddlers (ages 2 or 3). On your first visit to the nursery, please complete an information sheet available from the nursery volunteer. We have both a Quiet Nursery where mothers can nurse and rock their infants and a Children's Nursery for supervised play time and instruction. For more information contact the church office.

Sunday School

Our children's Sunday School program provides a supportive and caring environment where children are discipled and equipped to be followers of Jesus Christ. We use a Reformed Sunday School curriculum that disciples children by rooting them firmly in God's word. For older children and youth, the curriculum deepens and broadens students' knowledge and understanding of God's Word. Visit our Sunday School's program web page for more information.

Children's WorshipPreschool Sunday School

This program for 4- and 5-year-olds is held at the same time as the sermon each Sunday. Children who participate stay with their parents in the worship service until the hymn preceding the sermon. Our Children's Worship program teaches children the elements of worship such as praise, adoration, thanksgiving, giving, repentance, confession, obedience, and service. Children's Worship prepares children to worship meaningfully with their families in the worship service.

Kids' Quest Club

Kids' Quest Club is a Wednesday evening program from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. for ages 4 through 4th grade. It is held from October through March. Kids' Quest Club teaches children the Westminster Shorter Catechism in an age-appropriate and fun way! It's an exciting program that uses Bible stories, music, skits, and other activities to help children learn that they are made for God's own glory. Kids' Quest choirs, games, and snacks round out the club activities.

Pioneer Club

During the school year, in addition to Kids’ Quest, we also offer a Pioneer Club program for 5th and 6th graders. Pioneer Club provides an educationally, spiritually, and developmentally appropriate program for children in 5th and 6th grade. Each Wednesday evening this Christ-centered program integrates spiritual and personal development; emphasizes evangelism and discipleship; and gives children opportunities to learn new skills, make friends, have fun, and develop Christian values that affect every area of their lives.

Communicants Class

The Communicants Class is a class each member's child completes before becoming a communing member of the church. Parents of children in 5th grade and above are asked to prayerfully consider when their children should take this class. Students receive instruction on the Reformed doctrine, the distinctives of our denomination, how the local church is governed, church sacraments, and church ministry. The decision to take this class should be made prayerfully with your child. The class is designed to be taken when children are ready to make a public profession of faith. When you believe your child is ready to take the Communicants Class, contact our Associate Minister, Pastor Don Hulsey. We offer a Communicants Class periodically based on the need.
